The 2009 Honda Fit

Honda Fit

It is perfect for the cost and value. Easy to keep clean inside and out!
This five speed four door Fit has much better gas mileage than stickers claims. Get 38 to 41 mpg consistently. Interior is very adequate for the investment. Could use some great mats and not the factory 95 pound rubber ones for 10K.Front end is too low for the current parking places, and slightly steep driveways. Stay way sideways when pulling into anything. Visibility is great all around the car. Not able to get full size spare in spare tire compartment, slight bummer.

The 2009 Honda CR-V

Honda CR-V

This is a great SUV.  It’s roomy, comfortable, looks good and fun to drive, doesn’t feel like a big, bulky vehicle. It is pretty quiet, sure footed, but where it really shines is in the snow and ice driving.

It is also a well-built vehicle that includes all the modern safety features available. The hi-fi system is really nice, and the gas mileage is 31mpg on highway – 26/27mpg around town. It could have used more sound insulation or tweaked the muffler to make things a bit more quiet – but it’s not too bad.

This new CR-V handles like a sedan but the materials are not as good quality as the previous Honda. The door squeak, the plastics stain and scratch easily and the rugs just don’t seem to last long.

Engine runs great and comfort is undeniable.
It’s strongly recommend a CRV to anyone interested in a small SUV.

The 2010 Honda Insight

The 2010 Honda Insight

The new Insight is definitely better than the old insight. It is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 3 trims, ranging from the LX to the EX, great looking car, and it’s a hybrid.

Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 1.3-liter, I4, 98-horsepower, hybrid engine that achieves 40-mpg in the city and 43-mpg on the highway. A variable speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.

The car looks very sporty, and the dash lets you know how fuel efficiently you are driving at any given moment. The only drawbacks are the obscured view you get from the center rear view mirror because of the hatchback and the slow acceleration. The side mirrors are very large though.

The car has an ECON button which when activated assists you in driving more efficiently, accelerates more smoothly, brakes evenly. Of course there are times when you need to really scoot onto the highway, simply turn off the ECON and the car responds with PLENTY of power. The EX even has paddle shifters that enable you to downshift and upshift. With the IMA (integrated motor assist) there is no odd jerk or loud whine when the gas motor kicks in. Very smooth!

This car is fantastic for those who truly want to drive efficiently, improve mpg, save money, save the planet!

Classic Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang – A Piece of Automotive History
The Ford Mustang an idea overseen by Donald Frey, would become a piece of automotive history. The Ford Mustang has been around since 1964, and it is always being re-invented so that the current generations youth may enjoy it as much as the previous generation was able to.

My beloved Ford Mustang Grandé – 1970
This was Ford’s answer to the buyer who wanted T-Bird luxury in a smaller, sportier package. Available as a coupe only, it provided as standard equipment the Deluxe Decor Interior, plus simulated woodgrain instrument-panel trim, deluxe three-spoke steering wheel, special door panels, padded interior quarter panels and…

Larry Woods Garage 1969 Ford Mustang
The newest test water line from Mattel is Larry Woods Garage. This line brings out Larry’s personal favorite cars and decorates them with very nice real rider rubber wrapped wheels, and very unique paint schemes. I really don’t like the domestic car side of things, but this mustang has a MEAN stance and attention to detail on this is top notch. The addition of a plastic base cheapens it a little but…

Classic Pony Cars
This site is dedicated to the Classic Ford Mustangs from 1964½ through 1973. These early Mustangs spawned a new generation of American automobiles that would come to be known as pony cars. With their sporty, long front ends and short rear decks, many manufacturers tried to duplicate the style, but none could come close to capturing the spirit that the original Mustang brought to the American car buyer.

Ford Escort The Coolest Cars Ever

Cool Cars: Escort MKII
It has to be one of the coolest cars ever. With it’s contribution to rally racing all over the world and multiple world championships, this little car has what it takes to win.

Ford Escort Mk. 1
While Ford may have owned the Escort name for many years, first being used on the Estate version of the Popular, it was the wonderful iteration that was developed as a replacement for the Anglia that most associate with the name.

FORD ESCORT RS COSWORTH
The Ford Escort Cosworth seems to have entered popular folklore as the car that, for a while at least, killed the hot hatch. Here was a car so quick, so capable and yet so desirable to ne’er-do-wells that the insurance industry threw a hissy fit, made it all but uninsurable and…

Retrospective: Ford Escort
The Ford Escort has been a part of British life for 32 years, but it’s all over now – Ford is killing off one of its best-selling nameplates, leaving the Focus in its place. If you want a new Escort you must move fast, because production ends in July. Often the nation’s best seller, the Escort has brought affordable, convenient and unpretentious transport to millions, always wrapped in attractive – or at least, inoffensive – styling. Escorts have been coveted, crashed and customised, but…
